Yoann Martichon is a french born and trained Master Chocolatier and Pastry chef. He started his training at age of 15 in french patisserie first and fell in love with the chocolate. In 2002 Yoann completed a five-years Masters Degree in Chocolate in Paris. He then decided to expand his knowledge around the world, by working for some of the most prestigious chocolatiers. In 2013 he discovered New-Zealand and decided to call it Home. He settled down in Nelson in 2015 to open his own brand and that’s how Chocoyo is born! Chocoyo is proud to use fresh and local ingredients combined with Fair Trade chocolate, which will create an explosion of flavours in your mouth.
